ABOUT UK KING’S DAUGHTERS

Serving residents in eastern Kentucky, southern Ohio, and western West Virginia, UK King’s Daughters includes a 455 bed medical center; an integrated network of 500+ physicians and advanced practitioners; more than 80 ambulatory centers and practice locations; a long-term care facility (LTC); medical transport company; eight urgent care centers; and a child development center.

King’s Daughters is the region’s largest employer, with more than 5,800 team members providing a broad range of primary and specialty care services, including cardiovascular, orthopedics, oncology, digestive health, stroke/neurology, maternity, and Level 3 neonatal intensive care.

ABOUT THE QUAD

The Postsecondary Partner Portfolio Project, also known as the Quad, is a centralized resource developed by UK King’s Daughters Workforce Institute. This portfolio compiles essential information from surrounding colleges and universities, career centers, and community partners to support workforce development, team member education, and recruitment efforts.It includes detailed contact information, program descriptions, certification pathways, degree offerings, and delivery formats.

The Quad is designed to help guide team members seeking to advance their careers connect with education partners for clinical placements and internships, and identify local talent pipelines for key medical roles. By providing quick access to postsecondary options, it strengthens our ability to maintain a highly skilled, welleducated workforce and fosters strategic partnerships that align with our mission and long-term goals.

This Quad serves as a go-to reference when advising team members about continuing education, promoting internal advancement, or collaborating with schools on clinical placements. It also supports recruitment by helping identify programs that align with staffing needs and informs decisions around internships, apprenticeships, or training incentives. Additionally, the Quad can be used in grant writing or partnership development, providing ready-to-use institutional data for workforce initiatives. As new education and training providers emerge, the Quad will grow to ensure that we stay connected to the latest opportunities in workforce development.
